Weekly outline

  • The activities included in this course are ones that I've used successfully with students in 3rd and 4th grade (8,9,&10 year olds.)

The students are what make the course 'cool.' My students have especially liked the messaging capabilities between students. It serves as local 'email' system. Students have also had a lot of fun with the blogs. The blog feature is where I allow students to be individually creative. Many students like to add pictures that they find on the internet or draw themselves and then other students comment on the pictures.

A brief comment about the coolness of Moodle courses: Moodle is only cool if the teacher and students make it cool. A Moodle course is not a packaged deal; it must be created and continued by the teacher and students.
