  • Printing

    • How to print from any laptop (new!)

      Note: Only printing to the library is supported at this stage.

      Supported file formats: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, PDF and XPS files.

      Users of "Pages" or "Keynote" etc. will need to convert their document to PDF. Choose File > Export > PDF.

      1. Navigate to print.rossmoyneshs.wa.edu.au (link also available on front page of Moodle).

      2. Log in with your school login (firstname.lastname).

      3. Click 'web print' in the left hand column.

      4. Follow the on-screen instructions and collect your document.

      How to print from a student's Windows 7 or Windows 8 notebook

      1. Hold down the Windows key (between Ctrl and Alt), and press the 'R' key, to bring up the Run dialogue box.

      2. Enter in the box: \\e4048s01sv006 and click OK.

      3. Doube click on the printer you want to use e.g. Library_KyocewraFS4300DN_x64

      4. Enter your school username and password (firstname.lastname). The printer will be added to your list, you should now be able use the printer.

    • How to connect to the Curriculum Shared Drive from your MacBook

      Open Finder, and select Go, then Connect to Server at the bottom of the drop-down menu.

      Enter this in the Server Address field:

      smb://e4048s01sv001/fsCurriculumShared/E4048S01-Rossmoyne SHS/

      (Note there's a space between -Rossmoyne and SHS.)

      Enter the + button to add this to the Favourite Servers, so that you don't have to enter the address again next time.

      Click Connect, and authenticate with green\firstname.lastname and your password.

      In Finder you should now see the Get Work and Hand in Work folders.

      An alternative method is to install the file linked below, which places two shortcuts on your desktop to access the shared drives.

    • If you are locked out of your account or you have forgotten your password

      If you enter the wrong password at least 5 times within 10 minutes, you will be locked out of your account. If this happens, ask your teacher to unlock your account for you. If your teacher does not know how, ask your teacher to open the address

      in a browser, to search for your surname, highlight your account in the box (if there is more than one), and to click the Unlock button. If you are locked out because your are not entering the correct password,  ask your teacher to reset your password (e.g. to Password6).

      You then need to enter your new password on a Windows computer and change it to another  one.

    • Printing from your MacBook

      Download the link below on your MacBook (be patient, it takes a while to download) and click on the package to install it. When you need to print, simply select the printer.

      When printing, you will be asked for a username and password, this will be your school network username and password, not your MacBook login.

      To print from the Kyocera library printer, you will also need to download and install the Konica driver linked underneath.
