Question 1: Ball Bounce Debrief. How well can you identify a general pattern in the graphical analysis and describe it?
You have some difficulty generalizing your findings.
You can identify some common characteristics in each situation. The general result could be more concise or use a more mathematical description.
You can identify a general result and explain it clearly and concisely using mathematical terminology.
You have identified a general result and explain it clearly and concisely using mathematical terminology. You can explain how the result may be useful in analyzing other mathematical situations.
Question 2: Average Rate of Change Calculator. How well can you explain the difficulty in calculating an instantaneous rate of change.
Your explanation is not very clear or concise. You could have used mathematical terminology more consistently.
You can identify the difficulty involved ion calculating an instantaneous rate of change, but your explanation could be more clear or concise.
You can clearly and concisely explain the mathematical difficulty in moving from an average to an instantaneous rate of change. You can clearly and concisely explain the mathematical difficulty in moving from an average to an instantaneous rate of change. You suggest ways to solve the problem.
Question 3: Can you clearly explain how the average rate of change formulas compare to each other.
You have some difficulty explaining how the formulas have the same function.
You can identify the formulas as being same with some omissions in your explanation.
You can clearly and concisely explain why the formulas are essentially the same.
