Year 9 and 10 students: your MacBook may have a faulty hard drive
You need to test it!
Apple has determined that certain 64GB flash storage drives used in your MacBook Airs may fail.
To see if your drive may be affected, go to the Mac App Store, click on Updates and choose the MacBook Air Flash Storage Firmware Update 1.1. The firmware update will test your drive to see if it is affected. You will be directed back to http://www.apple.com/au/support/macbookair-flashdrive/ if there is a problem. Instead of taking your MacBook to Apple as suggested on the site, you must bring it to the IT office where we will have the drive replaced.
